'US Hushed up Pak Role in 9/11'

The United States has been accused of deleting the testimonial of a former American military intelligence analyst's testimonial before the 9/11-inquiry commission that implicated Pakistan in the bombing of the twin towers of New York. A report on Monday said the testimony of John Newman that has mysteriously disappeared from the final report exposes how Pakistan protected Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a top functionary of Al-Qaeda who allegedly part-funded the US terrorist attack.

The name may ring the bells in India as he was one of the three terrorists exchanged by then External Minister Jaswant Singh in 1999 to get released hostages and the Indian Airlines flight hijacked to Kandahar. A British national of Pakistan origin, Sheikh went to Pakistan from Kandahar where ISI gave him a house and protection from the police and could be seen attending swanky parties in company of senior government officials.

The report in English daily, The TRibunew, published from Chandigarh and Delhi quotes Newman stating in his testimonial that "Saeed Sheikh was probably a triple agent" who opersated for Pakistan, American and British intelligence, was actually a confidant of Osama bin Laden who referred to him as his son and made him a member of the Majlis Al-Shura.

The US government sources told Newsweek magazine that he was a "protected asset of ISI". He was the Al-Qaeda group's princiapl liaison man with the ISI and worked closely with various current and former officers of Pakistan Intelligence, including lieutenant General Mohammed Aziz Khan, who along with President Pervez Musharraf was the most powerful commander in Pakistan. Khan was allegedly involved in securing funds for the airline tickets needed for reconnaissance flights on the day of the 9/11 attack.

Sheikh, who carried many names, including Mustafa Ahmed, Mustafa Ahmed al-Hasawi, Mustafa Mohmoud Saeed Ahmed and Mustafa Mohammed Ahmed, was the man behind killing British journalist Daniel Pearl and had funded the 9/11 bombing by wiring US$100,000 to Mohammed Atta. He is also credited with creating a new secure, encrypted, web-based communication system fro Osama's Al-Qaeda to facilitate financial and communication needs. A product of the London School of Economics, the report said he had played a vital role in 9/11 by financing the hijackers and got the same impersonal budget as two other key coordinators - Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Ramzi bin al-Shibh.

Newman had claimed in his testimony that a gangster Ansari, running his operations from Dubai, organised kidnapping of a wealthy shoe tycoon in India to extract money and gave US$100,000 to Sheikh. According to his testimony on the orders of the ISI chief, Sheikh wired the money to hijack leader Mohammed Atta. Flush with money, Atta Hamzi and Hanzour flew first class on the type of aircraft they would use on September 11, 2001.

Yes, dear reader, you may well ask as to how the Taala'i Lama, Nobel Peace Laureate is involved in this. It is actually very simple. The Axis of Evil for India has long been the lethal combination of the CIA, ISI and Chinese Intelligence, all three of which are embodied in this august personality who willingly acts as their stooge. The story unfolds with the soft underbelly of the recognition of the XVIIth Gyalwang Karmapa in Tibetan and Indian polity. Summer of 1999 had seen the then Minsiter of Culture, Govt of Sikkim in Beijing discussing cultural exchanges with his 'Chinese brothers and sisters'. September of that same year, Kunsang Sherab and others of the Joint Action Committee, Gangtok, Sikkim, had visited Tshurphu Monastery and held extensive meetings with Ugen Thrinlay Dorjee, UTD, the person recognised and instated as the XVIIth Karmapa at Tshurphu jointly by the Govt of the PRC and the Taala'i Lama together with Chinese officials. It was then that plans for the purported 'escape' of UTD had been finalised. This was the epitome of Tibetan Nationalism or Naziism in action.

These three intelligence agencies then devised a plan which would not only humiliate India internationally but would also act as a decoy, distracting attention from the impending escape of UTD. This plan was the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight, IC 814 from Kathmandu to Kandahar. The Taala'i Lama, Tai Situpa, Tshurphu Gyaltshab and their entire clique, including Thrangu Rinpoche amongst so many other well known Lamas, desperate to please the Chinese Govt and the DL's masters, the CIA, were only too willing to be integral to this entire plan. That the National Democratic Alliance, was in power, its convenor George Fernandes, then the Union Minister of Defence, merely facilitated the entire process. It is common knowledge that Mr. Fernandes is inordinately close to this Nobel Laureate and that too hardly for reasons of loyalty towards his country.

The stage was now set with the Chief Minister of Sikkim and his administration, including Karma Topden, the MP of the Rajya Sabha from Sikkim, taken into full confidence for the execution of this daring plan. Under the cover of this hijacking, UTD would be able to sneak into Sikkim, appropriate the Black Vajra Crown of the Gyalwang Karmapas and return triumphantly to Tibet as the legitimate XVIIth Karmapa. Sikkim would then be made easily accessible to the Peoples' Republic of China and perhaps its adjunct!

As a result, the hijacking took place catching the Union Cabinet totally unprepared to deal with this exigency. It resulted in the release of three hardcore terrorists -- Ahmed Omar Saeed Shiekh referred to in the article above, Syed Salauddin, the master mind of terrorism in Pakistan, and a third. It is their release which empowered them to precipitate the crisis known as 9/11. Had they remained in Indian custody, this eventuality would never have happenned. India had been brought to its knees in accordance with the original intent.

Unfortunately however, luck did not favour UTD. Unable to make it to Sikkim, he was left wtih no option other than be smuggled to India across the Nepalese border and head for Dharamsala, HP. This dvd has also been submitted as primary evidence in Original Suit 2199 of 2003, by this writer, currently pending before the hon'ble High Court of Delhi, New Delhi.

It is unfortunate indeed that such of the sbutler aspects of the personality of an utterly confused Taala'i Lama, are not generally known and appreciated. Had the Govt of India any spine, it would have had the Taala'i Lama thrown into prison for treason. Unfortunately, it has been the constant pressure from Uncle Sam which has saved the Taala'i Lama ever since 1956!

Clearly he means only one person well -- that is himself including his machiavellian elder brother Gyalo Thondup!
